No way 2013. I'm thinking at least 2014 with an odds-on chance of the thing blowing out to early 2015.

i thought at first this poll totally stupid but if it gets enough votes it can be highly accurate

they made an experiment asking hundreds of people how many candies they thought there were in a certain huge jar

some were very short on estimation, some very high, but the key is that the average was highly precise in the estimation

personally im so short of money i hope it takes the longest to publish bom

early 2013 for me

once the gfx engine and game engine is fixed and they addressed the main FM and DM issues, "all they need" for BoM is a few more plane models and some different scenery. its not that big of a step (and they already have been working on it the last 12 months as a priority, and not working on CoD). and this new release would be 2 yrs after the CoD release, just about on track for the old pace of providing il2 series sequels.

but here is me hoping they actually fix the residual bugs we have in CoD (weapons issues, missing features etc), so that BoM is not just a new add-on on top of the incomplete and buggy mess we got now. still, i am glad the whole project is back on track and that CoD at least runs now, and online in multiplayer it is pretty good (but with some significant missing features and some annoying bugs)

i would have trusted Oleg to address the residual bugs and deal with them and understand the importance to do so (to rebuild confidence in the series and refute the detractors), but i just dont know if luthier understand the importance in having to fix them (he might well try and release a reasonably well functioning BoM and then immediately move onto the MMO without ironing out the main residual bugz that affect gameplay and the game working as a good ww2 simulator).

time will tell

All of the above +1.

My estimation is late 2013 as well... if not early till midst 2014. Okay they made huge steps forwards regarding the gfx engine, but there is still a loooot of things to do with the engine.

Besides they need to implement a couple of new planes with at least abut 5-6 NEW playable planes (there should be a vast number of AI planes, at least 20)
Apart from this they have to add a working weather system and advanced physics (TREE COLLISION!! ), and working communication. Some pilot animations (Bailout sequenze!!) are welcomed as well, maybe some of this in bombers to actually get the feeling to have a living crew in this plane and not just some dummies.
Releasing the sequel too early again would be the ende of the series. They have to release a game which fixes the great majority of bugs of CloD AND the sequel within the first release version! Anything else would be the second and last financial desaster of the company.

All these things combined are a huge amount of work and can't (or should I say shouldn't) be rushed to a release within the next 6 months.... so early 2013 is no option for me... allthough I hope for it of course. But I better wait maybe a year or two to get a bugfree sequel which has all the potential to be a financial success for the team and therefore provides us with more content in the future!

Crowd intelligence only works if you got some figures or facts. I doesn't work for release dates.
Ask 1 million people which Android phone I just bought, do think they will guess it correctly?

Btw, the whole community(all but ~3 herectics) was wrong about the release date of Clod too.

Edit: There is one thing for sure, they announce it at least 3 months before release.

I am really looking forward to flying the la5 it will be one of the most CEM intensive aircraft we could have.

Also I hope they add a p-40 or p-39 to raise the interest across the pond

No button for 2014 beta release and end of 2015 fixed version with new engine????? So I cannot vote!!!

Hopefully beginning or middle of next year. This year xmas is just 1 1/2 months away. Do not think so....

+1 on La5. Waiting impatiently on news about the planeset.
