Question on Saitek Combat Pedals Wheelbrakes

Hey gang,
Ok so now I am finally getting into CLoD with the final patch release.
It does not appear my wheelbrakes are working properly - I have the Saitek Combat pedals, and have assigned individual left and right wheel brakes to the toe brakes on the pedals. They show movement in the controller screen, however do not appear to be working when taxiing on the runway? I first set it up with the reverse box checked as that is usually how I have to do these pedals, tried unchecking it as well but still no affect. Now I am in the early stages and flying the Rotol I guess, are they specific to individual planes?
