Default Atag!

Well last night was great fun!
With the changes to the netcode in this last patch and ATAG's very well run server last night was the first time in a long time i could say i had a great time dogfighting and flying online, very smooth and not a hint of lag anywhere.

Finally felt in control of my 109 and it made the dogfighting fun and a matter of skill instead of fighting the lag and stutterers and FM's.

This last patch and the ATAG server means online at least is something to enjoy and recommend.

Its not perfect but a big step forward.

Big props to the ATAG boys and the devs.

I will be back tonight.

Great! Seems a lot of people have got good results from this patch. Hope they keep up the great progress they have been achieving lately.

yeah same here....it really seems the devs did adress the netcode problem somehow...
last weekend we were on atag with around 70people flying, and as furbs already mentioned....no warping planes whatsoever....

now i would only wish, that the devs would adress clouds as well, as they still cause stutters for many people...or that atag just turns them off until they are optimised.

Ps .. I had another blown engine on the 109 this time an E1..temps were Ok and boom, I cold see flak bursts so it may of been that but no visible DMG on wings or did I get any DMG/flak hit sounds..

2 flights since last RC patch and both blown engines after getting alt for 20mins.

Gotta love it.

Cheers!

I didn't see one moment of lagging or warping aircraft last night

A few things that would made it even better would be a fix for the LOD issue, some good FSAA and maybe some change to the skins online, apart from that it was a real improvement.

I also didn't get the loss in FPS when zoomed in, which was a big plus.

Bliss have you looked into allowing skins online now?

Maybe a test night?
