Mad <3 for MOWAS!
What up all? Combing the forums for a while now, decided to finally post.
First off I want to say I am :in love: with Assault Squad. It's like the game I've been looking for all these years. As a avid fan of both Civ and C.O.D., it's like the perfect match of war and strategy. Big shoutout to 1c no doubt! Don't get me wrong the game is not perfect, but this thread isn't about what's wrong with the game, nor am I posting to nitpick. I think the foundation is superb, and the games potential is tremendous. Definitely looking forward to future sequels. Been playing since June, a friend picked it up for me 'cause I broke my heel bone, was bound to polishing a seat with my rear for months on end. Now, Im playing on hard after completing on the other two difficulties. I tried HEROIC...Once. Couldn't get past the first set of MGs on the intro level. lol. Question: Today I finished Battle of the Bulge on Hard, was quite fun! After dual capturing the last two flags, I was a bit surprised (and proud, thought I killed it) when I was found that my victory was attained with: 144 Friendly losses || 13 Vehicles 1080 Enemy losses || 72 Vehicles My questions is, for the more veteran players: Is this decent given the hard difficulty? Im trying to prep myself for steam action, but wont until I can finish the game on hard. The above totals are what I get on average on Normal Difficulty, though on hard I think I lost 1XX on intro, 2XX on Normandy/DDAY, and 35X on Cartentan (that was a challenge! Though the 5 repaired Heavies + 101st/Airstikes combos helped out for those two 88 near the end) Question: Do you guys think it takes away from the fun of the game when dual/triple capturing the last 2-3 flags? I think it would improve the game if the last flag was random and only revealed when all other flags were captured. I mean I know it's strategy, and yeah, dual capturing makes it easier (no doubt), but I think the developers intended to make that big showdown with arty and heavys toward the end, but why would I play stupid on order to have fun? Just a comment. So, just since I love this game and will be posting more frequently, I'll throw in a few tidbits: Anyone play strictly with XPADDER? I've managed to tweek, tweek, tweek until its perfect. Lotta fun (excluding "PAUSE" - PIMA! lol) My fav Unit: MK2 Daimler (fun fast and awesome when XPADDER Direct control with my 360 controller.) Fav Skirmish map: Battle Axe! Fav Gun: M42 (because every inf unit seems to pick em up and ammo is everywhere! Makes it easy=]) Thanks again 1C for a great title, and for reading half (or less) of this war and peace comment. JUST HAD TO SHOW SOME LOVE! |

How easy it to control units with an xbox 360 controller? I don't think it would be any better than mouse/keyboard.

The thing is that, Single player and Multi player are two things COMPLETELY different.
