Default Anti virus issue with new patch

When I extract the new patch to the game. my antivirus program (Nortons) removes the dll files as a WS.Reputation.1 threat.

As I have downloaded the patch file from two different sources I don't think it is "infected".

Any suggestions?

It's a common problem with Norton. I've had to temporarily disable norton while installing the patch. Make sure your IL-2 CloD directory is set so that Norton ignores the folder when doing its idle searching for problems.

Norton still thinks the cold war is going on.

I am not familiar with Norton but most anti virus software have the ability to ignore files.Place these files on the ignore list.

Problem fixed.

I added the C:/Steam ......il2 directory to the Nortons "Exclude from Scans" setting and the "Exclude from Auto-protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection" setting.

I then checked that the game was in version 1.05 and closed the game. I deleted the cache and extracted the patch to the game folder.

Everything now works OK.

Another solution:

remove norton
install MSSE and run brain.exe once in while.
