Default Real size spitfire flight control set ups

Has this been brought to every bodies attention? This company took a real spitfire flight stick and used it to make their own copies.
They sell the whole set up in modular package ( stick, rudder pedals, throttle, mixture, and landing gear on the right!) or just the stick and pedals if you want.

I don't think I would go that far but I'm sure some of you who only fly the spit would be crazy enough to do it.

hiya justme262,

looks pretty amazing

wonder what the price is on the shortened stick on its own (http://combatace.com/topic/73934-my-new-joystick/)

the price of the full length stick with floor mount is about 1500, and looking at the pcs of the person who owns it, he has it setup in his bedroom (so he cant be all that flush with cash)

still, having a decent a multiscreen setup would be a greater priority for me then having a replica stick at 700 - 1000 $ (partic since it makes you sit even further from the screen )

nice unit tho for tose who can afford it

wasnt there a french company making similar replica gear ? cant remember their name/url

If money was no object I would get one... alas I can't afford a FFB stick.
Imagine the virtual cockpit you could create with this stuff and a top end pc and three screens.

Imagine how dorky you would feel showing your new girlfriend what you do in your spare time...

He had PLENTY of room in the bedroom once his wife saw the bill and moved out (with whatever cash was left)! LOL

Much as I'd love to have the full-out combo on this website, I console myself by thinking there wouldn't be enough joystick buttons/switches for actual sim-playing. (Lame, I know. Like saying a Lamborghini doen't have the proper plug-in for my iTouch MP3 player )

well with a 'bit'(alright alot) of effort the switches/other controls can be done
http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/sta...-17217-24.html

mind you some bits can be purchased:-

http://creativecockpits.com/The%20Kits.htm

and if you're prepared to get into serious scripting for CoD, gauges are possible

Oh, and French company making 109 stick etc was Tarmac Aces- now defunct. Still working well for me
