I'm having problem that effectively mean that out of US and Commonwealth campaign I can only play Tarawa, D-day and Battle Axe (and no problem with those battles at all, works fine).
I haven't tried other campaigns as of yet. This is fresh install from DVD (game bundled with Czech "Level" magazine). This is CTD when loading "TORCH" " Error Program will be terminated. eip=006e0e77 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION read at 0x000001a0 eax=00000000 ebx=00000000 ecx=00b29e93 edx00cae358 esi=1d207cd8 edi=1d30bca8 esp=0238f168 ebp=0238f25c >>>>>>main >>>>>mp.thread_single.exec >>>>thread.exec >>>clockThread:OnExecute >>scene:init >spawn platform[10003] Men of War: Assault Squad - v2.05.13 - standard 2012.06.02 18:11 - 0x01220E0E " Seems quite similar to this: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=32969 (some numbers are different) However my game is fresh install so the modding point from the listed thread should not be valid. I haven't tried multiplayer yet. |

When you reinstall, you have to manually go and make sure all files where the game was installed are gone, if you uninstall only the files that were installed will be gone, any files you added or mods will stay in folders usually. So make sure all files are gone after you uninstall, further go to your my documents\my games\ folder and there is men of war assault squad folder there delete entire folder (you will have to recreate your profile but this is just to make sure you do clean reinstall of the game). Afterwards make sure you are using proper patch from 1C if you dont use steam. I had this problem once but it was because I was in editor and I had some mods loaded.

I appreciate the quick reply however as I wrote before this is clean install and no mods. Game patched with initial install from DVD as well.
Only thing I can think of is that in past I have tried once a demo of some "Men of War" series game. However it seems quite unlikely there could be any interference with that. |

Seems like problem with installer, two other people confirm.
I haven't tried to reinstall through steam yet. I checked and the game profile/save games were created with this install, demo was for the original MOW and is in different directory. I could play through all the German skirmishes though, now trying SOVs. |

I tried register the retail version with steam and IT WORKS !!! The steam version of the game is 2.05.14, the DVD is 2.05.13. The savegames don´t work. When you are activating this game on steam, enter the multiplayer (NOT single) CD key.
Cheers, Kakac. |
