Default Campaign, Dynamic or otherwise

If there is one major thing that this thing is missing, it is a decent campaign. I have seen hints and references to third party DCG's around these forums and was thinking about checking them out. But I wanted to ask first if any body has tried them, how are they, and which would you recomend?

Thanks

Well, me too. I have somewhat good performance here (i5-760, 4gb ddr3, ATI HD7850 2gb), but i don't find the scripted campaigns near as fun as the dynamics campaigns for original IL-2. Hope someone here knows some nice on to play on CloD.

The main reason I dont play CLoD. Scripted missions are dull, and even the ones that came with CLoD feel tacked on.

I would play it much more if there was a dynamic campaign...I dont care from a mod or from the devs....but give us something.

Here is a link to the only one I know of. I have only done light testing with it and it seems functional.

For offline flying I can recommend the Desastersoft campaigns. Wick vs. Dundas is available in English. http://shop.desastersoft.com/en/0/0/...t-details.html

Use the search in this forum to find out more about them.

They do seem well done, especially considering the current state of the sim.
Of course until radio is fixed, no joy.

The good thing is that there are demo versions with quite a few missions which you try:

http://www.desastersoft.com/en/downloads.html

If you switch to german there also is a Demo for Channel Battles.

I liked both demos but I'm still waiting for CloD to be fixed further before I buy.

Alexander

PS: One more thing...in the comments on amazon.de the people say that the boxed versions have very nice maps with them.

The Desastersoft campaigns are excellent, they make the most of what the game has to offer at the moment, worth buying in my opinion.

This is the best place to go for free campaigns:

Heinkill's free German invasion of the UK missions are very good:
