Hello fellow pilots, I have recently upgraded from il2 1946 to CoD. I have heard that it is quiet a buggy game without the patches, where can I get those patches?
Thank you in advance. |

you only need one patch, the current one:
http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=33368 drop it over a clean install. |

Nope steam is free! You also have to have it to activate the game.

As Senseispcc said, Steam will update automatically your Cliffs of Dover version once you register with them -- for free as mentioned. PStyle was referring to the latest beta patch that many (most) of us are currently evaluating. Here's an updated link: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=32916 Download this patch to your PC, then unzip it. Do NOT use Winzip -- it withholds some key files within the "parts" folder that's been zipped. Better to use Winrar (I use 7-Zip, it's free and works fine). Simply do a copy and paste of the new "parts" folder to replace your existing "parts" folder here: C:/Program(86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/IL2Sturmovik/parts You can even extract directly to there, but best done only on a full moon. After doing a few offline training/orientation missions to get yourself up to speed on the cockpit drill, join us on the ATAG Allies vs Axis Server which is currently running the beta version that PStyle mentioned. Make sure you have Teamspeak 3 (also free) installed -- we're a friendly bunch. ![]()

Clod runs through Steam whether or not you have a physical disk or d/led the game.
You need a Steam account to play both offline and online. |
