I'm still trying to get some help on this. When I finish playing COD and hit Escape to exit to the Opening Screen it always returns me to the Desktop instead. Is this normal, or is there another key I should use? It's really annoying as I have to go through everything again to get back to the games Options, etc. Any ideas, anyone?

Not sure to which screen you're referring when you say "opening screen", but sometimes if I'm in the cockpit and hit Esc, it shows my desktop for a little bit before rendering the menu.
It can show it for quite a while if I've been flying for a long time and I'm getting close to hitting a launcher crash due to that memory leak they still haven't fixed. |

Thanks for the reply, Cap'n! The screen I'm referring to is the one showing London and the JU88s. I always return to Desktop, which means I have to go through Ubisoft and the haggard pilot again! Any way of just going straight to Single Player etc, etc?

Oh, I see.
Sounds to me like your game is crashing. The developers obviously have a lot on their plate, so I wouldn't expect it to be fixed soon. There are some standard things you can try, such as updating to the latest graphics drivers for your card, deleting your game's cache and running a quick mission once to let it re-build, updating to the latest Beta Patch or reverting to the latest Official Patch via Steam, deleting your copy of the game and re-installing it from Steam, etc. You can delete or rename the ubisoft logo so you don't have to watch it again, though. If you search, there's a thread on these forums that tells you where the file is located. |

The 'escape key followed by desktop launcher crash' when exiting a mission or the game seems to be a bug that some have reported with this latest beta (if that is what you are referring too). I get it sometimes.
Try repairing your Net4 installtion, it won't hurt and there are threads detailing how to do it - it happens far less often since I did that but it may be just coincedence.

Many thanks, Cap. I deleted the Ubi logo OK, but the haggard Pilot is still there! Not to worry, I can live with that. And I re-installed the game and Steam, which helped a lot.
