Default Spitfire Weathering

Dev's (if you ever look here).
Could you please remove the damned awful weathering on the Spitfire (and a lesser extent the Hurricane) from this:-

back to this?

Shouldn't be to hard, should it??

Yes indeed, I haven't got any screenshots from that far back, but I do always feel a little sad looking out over the wing of my spitfire, it looks more like a watercolour painting than a real object.
How far back does that shot go back? Is it the last retail patch or further back than that?

S!

Fully agree. Looks simply awful. Slider to left = fresh plane. Slider to right = weathered. Simple.

Hi Chris
Yeah it would be great to get back to how Skin Hardcoding was as in Picture 3
but alas I think this is falling on deaf Ears,Why on Earth did they change it,"if it aint broke, dont fix it"
It would be better if the Overlays were Clean so that the Weatheing can be applied using the in-Game weathering Sliders as intended.
Its definatley a case of The GOOD then BAD now UGLY
regards
Keith

S!

Quite a difference. It is like the doors and hatches have been constantly opened/closed. I would expect, based on my work with planes, that most marks of wear would be around the gun bay doors, ammo storage doors etc. Not every single panel line.
