Default Celebrate Odin (Wotan) this Friday for patch luck?

In Sweden we celebrate the pagan holiday of Midsummer this Friday where we in the old pre-christian days sacrificed slaves, horses etc and hung them from trees on the day of the year where the sun was highest in the sky in the name of Odin. These days we eat fermented herring and drink "snapps" until we can't sit on a chair... As I will be in no condition to even notice that a patch has been released I'm pretty sure we will get it - especially if we please Oden (Wotan) with our modern day sacrifices...

And as the german campaign to capture Moscow in 1941 was called "Operation Wotan" I'm pretty sure we will get interesting news about the sequel too!

So, if you don't have any slaves or horses to sacrifice this Friday, have a snapps in the name of Wotan for good luck with the patch

EDIT: Speaking as a representative for the pagan gods: If you don't have any snapps, or don't know what it is, any strong Booze will do just fine!

Jupjup, lots of midsummer festivals here, too. Unluckily I won't have time to join one, it just comes down to fires and beer anyways...or better, it comes down to fire and beer and schnaps, yay!

Wednes-day would be His day, and the solstice is long gone (20th of June).

Why not celibrate Frigg on her day?

We do! Every friday we come home from a long hard day at work, and have a beer!

Hey! Do all pagan rituals involve drinking? I hadn't noticed that before!
