Default Some sounds are amazing in game however!!

Not sure if these sounds are new or if they were always like this...

Crank up the volume and the bass guys!!

hehe I know I love some of the new sounds. Made a small video to see directly which changes were made with the engine sounds.

1st one is about the AI planes only. Wanted to make the video as small as possible so the quality is horrible

Comparison of axis and allied human planes are in the works but only videofiles of the 15950 version are ready yet.

Cool videos guys! As someone who hasn't downloaded the alpha patch good to hear the new sounds. It's probably what I was looking forward to the most from these patches. It really does add so much more immersion.

Remember when the game came out and we had half the planes with the old IL2 engine noise? We've come so far. I hope they still have the Rise of Flight guy doing their sound and he keeps coming up with more and more stuff.

I completely agree on the bomber part put the fighters and BF110 ( same engines as BF109) were perfect before the patch, now they don't sound like high rev engines anymore.

TBH i think the Wellingtons sound very poor, they are missing all the high end and that distinct gargle the wellignton had.

As for the German bombers, the He111 is now the old blenhiem sound. Lest said about the fighters the better.

As an example here is some original Wellington Audio:

And an example of the anson:

Example of a Blenhiem: (4:40)

Audio of a much better standard is totally possible with this sim. I hope one day when the Development team have over come the hurdles they now face it gets the sound facelift treatment it needs.
Or release a sound SDK and I'll do it myself

One noticable improvement in the new beta patch is on flyby views.
In the 'old' patch, the point at which the aircraft was roughly alongside or above you it sounded like the old Il-2 lawnmower Now however it blends in much nicer.

By my ear at least.
