Default MoW running far better than MoW:AA. Why?

Why is it that I can run MoW on the highest of settings, in the most hectic of scenes and still get a good frame rate of 50+ (Screenshot), but when I play MoW:AS on the lowest settings at the lowest eresolution with nothing happening, I get a terrible frame rate of 15 adn below(Screenshot)?

I have tries extensive searching and graphic tweaks, but nothing appears to work.
Can anyone explain this?

AS has better graphics and shaders, but the difference shouldn't be that dramatic

I think it might be a process priority thing, try checking that in your task manager or whatever.

I have tried with high priority and have experimented with processor affinity to no avail as well as tweaking graphics settings.
I'm at a loss.
The only other thing I can think of is trying some driver roll backs on the graphics card.
