Default Silicon Micro Display ST1080

Hey Guys

Thought this could be intresting.... for a short discussion.
The first VR glasses with full HD resolution.

PS: On command, you can see trough the small displays by 10% to your keyboard. Those developers play Clod, i'm pretty sure...

If I recall correctly, ST1080's 1080p is at 24hz, which is useless for gaming.

At 720p, it's 60hz. FOV is 35 degrees horizontal vs Sony HMZ-T1's 45 degrees. Contrast is not as great because it's LCoS (vs Sony's OLED) So basically no advantage except that it has bigger exit pupil and maybe better comfort(?).

I preordered one last week . Mainly for watching movies on the go. Going to hook it up for some flightsimming as well ofcourse. When it gets here I'll let you know if it's keeper.

Looks like this will blow both of them out of the water..apparently it will be released with DOOM 3 BFG this fall.
Anyone who can poke Iilya so he starts preparing for it? =)
