Default Is it hard to model the I-400 & Aichi M6AI Aircraft?

Is it hard to model the I-400 & Aichi M6AI Aircraft?

If only we could have some Japanese submarines in game (currently there are none) - the I-400 is the must have, together with it's cargo of (3) Aichi M6AI

One could start the mission right on the launch pad of the submarine, fold the wings down and catapult launch (release chocks) to launch this baby..
great idea no?
that would be one of a kind addition!!

It's really cool, but is mainly "1946" content which is unfavorable to 90% of Il-2 players apparently. The sub never even got close to its target, Panama, because of the end of the war.

It would make a fun mission though.

There were several classes of IJN subs that could, and did, launch aircraft.

One of which actually bombed the Pacific coast of the US, though it's small incendiary bombs failed to start a forest fire, which was it's objective.

Gladly stand corrected Not a 1946 fantasy after all! Come to think of it, those were biplanes used on those missions, right?

Nope, E14Y "Glen" monoplane.

The only enemy aircraft to bomb the continental US, well, ever...

That mission did have one unintended small victory for Japan. It forced the US Army to hold fighter assets on the West Coast for home defense, rather than deploying them to the Pacific, at least for a short time.
