Thumbs up FYI: 4.11 / Modact compliant San's FOV changer released

Located here: http://il2fovchanger.byethost7.com/

Download it, enjoy it, send the man a few bucks/euros. It still sometimes cuts out on me but for the most part it's stable.

(Also here's to hoping that TD makes this wonderful tool obsolete in future versions. FOV 20-170 + incr/decr FOV keys BADLY, BADLY needed.)

Can this tool be used in online games?

Would anyone be able to help me with this tool? I posted my problem in another thread, but I can't get anything there.

I've read all the manuals I could find and still nothing.

I have microsoft's .NET v4 installed, and I've done all the IP and port entries in the conf.ini file. Right now I'm running 4.11m off steam and San's FOV changer is on the desktop.

I started Il-2 and went to some multiplayer dogfight map in a Spitfire LF.Vb.

When I hit "test config" while IL-2 is running, San's is telling me that it can't connect with IL-2 even though the status bar at the bottom says IL-2 is working and that the debug screen is telling me that I've got a FoV of 70 though plane model is "none" and time is "0:0".

I've waited for a couple minutes but nothing is happening. I don't know if it matters, but I'm using a Playstation 3 game controller as my joystick.

Please help! Thanks!

Sorry mate, don't know what to tell you. I've got the game stock patched properly to 4.11hotfix, and it works ok. You need to configure the tool properly, make sure you aren't using existing bound keys. Configure your default FOV, your other FOVs and increase/decrease keys. Make sure you take note if you configure it to use the alt or shift or ctrl keys and which side (think it's left), so you know if you just need to hit LSHIFT-(key). I also don't use Steam, so can't help you there. In general the tool works ok, sometimes it messes up and detects the FOV wrong, but for the most part it's ok. Also, EWWWWWWWWWWW @ using PS3 controller to fly. That's just horrible mate. Get yourself a real joystick!

S!

Check your firewall setting that they don't block San's or IL-2 in any way (both client and server modes enabled, or sumsuch).

Have you made sure that you have the same IP address on the second tab on San's (this should be your machine's LAN address, and not the Internet-side address) as you have in the conf.ini? All depends on your network hardware, are you directly connected to Internet with rj-45, or do you have ADSL and does it have NAT translation.
