Lightbulb How to make large formations?

Hi all

I am trying to make a large german bomber formation in the FMB consisting of about 30 planes in 4 separate units: Gruppestab, 1., 2. and 3. Staffel. I am using the Gruppestab unit as the waypoint guide and then connecting the 3 Staffelen to this unit using the follow command. This however does not work.

What am I doing wrong? Is it not possible to make a large bomberformation this way? Is there then a nother way?

Thanks for reading

Henrik

one 'quick and dirty' way to get alot of bombers into a group is to make the group a stuka squadron- it can then have upto 8 planes in each of the 3 flights instead of 3.

Historically 'naughty' but might work for your purpose?

I haven't tried it yet in clod, but in the old il2 I found it always worked best to spawn the formations apart on their own with at least 1 or 2 waypoints then with the timing right(planes must have similar proxy to each other), do a follow link to the master lead formation.

Just note large formations do induce spawn lag.

Bolox: It is a solution, but I am making a historical mission so I am still looking for a more "correct" way

Smokeynz: Does not work for me. Have anyone else tried it in CLOD?
