Don't worry. If it doesn't work left click on the shortcut, click properties, go to "Compatability" check

[ ]Run this program in compatability mode for:
[Windows XP (Service Pack 2) \/ ]

then check

[ ]Run this program as an administrator.

Ah ha! From your posts I must deduce that you have installed it and tested it on Vista, and it works. This means that it is safe to be transfered and tested.
