Default Blind-Landing Beacon marker range

While placing Blind-Landing beacons in the FMB, I ran into somewhat of an issue.

In the 4.10 manual an illustration shows the lorenz beacon assumes an 1700 meter runway, with markers at 300 and 3000 meters.
As this is the only marker information provided, I assumed the "Army Air Force Instrument Approach System" used the same ranges, which it does not.

What I'm trying to find out is the marker range/position and assumed runway length of both the Lorenz(Long RW) and AAF Instrument Approach System(AM/MRN-1) beacons.

Another problem I ran into with the FMB in general is a lack of measuring tools.
Using the grid is cumbersome, and nearly useless with diagonal placement.
The only way I could measure the runway was to place aircraft waypoints and read the distance to the next waypoint from them.

Is there a better way?
