I tried it and it looked worse. AA did not work either. I also tried changing MSAA=0 in the config and that was a fail too. AA and AF are just porked n this sim.

The old IL-2 was made and optimized for OpenGL, Cliffs of Dover was made and (slightly) optimized for DirectX.

Besides, DirectX is the better one of the two.

well i beg to differ there on that, opengl has better depth in 3d than does Direct X

What?

OpenGL is just an API, just like DirectX. All it does is allows a developer to write graphics code for one library, instead of tons for each graphics card. IT, in no way, affects the "depth" of an image.

Also I tried this out and it works. However, no AA and quite a bit of corrupt graphics, but ATIs always had **** for opengl drivers. The mirror in the spit seems to work perfectly though.

30% of FPS hit on my system. AA works at some extend, no more jaggies at close distance except for wires. I tried on the Spitfire default track (not in a real mission) and the Spit mirror doesn't work on the track. The ATI horizon bug seem to not occur using OpenGL.

Regards.
