Default Impressions and Problems

After playing IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover for a while now I am finding the graphics to be surprisingly poor and it's almost impossible to configure my Logitech Extreme 3D I currently can't control the rudder and I can't select which button does bomb dropping and my supercharge button doesn't work. Also I currently can't look around the cockpit and looking at the map is a real pain because you have to pause the game I wish there was a quick map like in Wings of Prey. Personally I think Wings of Prey is a better game both from a graphical and game play point of view and I am not to interested in playing the multiplayer because I doubt playing PvP against hardcore fans would be much fun and i'm guessing there is a high chance that it will be full of cheaters by now anyway; tell me if I am wrong I am just going by my own personal experience of multiplayer games.

Does anyone have any recommendations for improving the graphics and fixing the key binds?

On multiplayer & cheaters you are wrong. I haven't seen cheaters online in this game. Also, regarding the fun, there are good pilots and newbies as well in all servers. Some of them such as ATAG feature also periodic AI bombers' raids, useful to escort your bombers and frame inadvertent aggressors, or destroy enemy bombers which is a lot of fun just to watch the excellent Damage Model in action.

Re. the graphics, they are astonishingly good, just watch the several screenshots and videos in this forum. BUT ... you need top H/W to push graphics to its max, given the game's present poorly optimised status. Otherwise go for the settings suggested by pupo here: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...59&postcount=2

Re. the supercharger, there are 2 controls actually in the list ... it's the other one

Re. the rudder, just go to Axis in the options>controls menu and set it.

Re the map, why the hell do you pause the game? M to open the map and the mouse to zoom/move. Right click to show some basic tools ...

Cheers,
Ins
