Default Applications required for running the "Cliffs od Dover"

Tonight, when download was finished, some instalation process begun after running the game for the first time. Seems Direct X, was installed followed by the Microsoft Net framework 4 , but then was interrupted, and I've downloaded and installed separatelly . Then I was able to start the game and enter the menu, but missions just won't load. First time "Launcher has stopped working", but every other time loading process "breakes" and I am back to Windows ,

my question is there any other application that should be installed ?

There are NO cppcrash folder inside the game folder,

but there is "redist" folder containing four others : DirectX , DotNetFx40_Client, GDF, VCRedist. When I start GDFInstall.exe which is in GDF folder, following pops up :

Please help, I am completely confused , any input is highly appreciated !

If you don't know what you're doing it's not wise to go running random executables that you find.

The only thing you need to run the game is Steam. Just install it and let Steam update/do its thing.

If you get the Launcher.exe is not repsponding thing, keep in mind that sometimes it will say that if you click too much while it's loading. The game might still be loading in the background.

I doubt those are random files, since I am suspecting "redict" folder contains application , which are required for running the game. Instalation of Microsoft Net framework automatic instalation 4 was unsucesfull, and after the process is disrupted , I think, some following applications were left unistalled and I don't know what those are ,

mission wouldn't load at all , suddenly game is "gone" , and I am on the desktop again !

Thank you all ,

I've just uninstalled ClOD. I don't know why the damn thing won't install in the first place ( I am reffering to the Microsoft Net framework 4). I' ve also learned, that every reinstallation require downloading all over again, this is terrible. Cheeshawk can you post , redistributables , download links please, so I can be sure.

MS NET Framework:

GDF is Game Definition File, I've never seen that one mess up and need to be re-installed, in fact, I'm having a bit of a toughie trying to find it on the MS website.

VCRedist is the Visual C++, and can be found here:

Thank you, kindly.

I hope you have everything sorted out. But if not, you should try verifying your game cache;

Right click on the game in your library -> Properties

'Local Files' tab, then 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...'

And after you can always do 'Defragment Cache Files'

This method has always alleviated any problem I am having.

I hope this helps.

No, unfortunetelly, I've allready unistalled it. I believe , this is the usefull advice, but hardly a solution in this case. Nevertheless, thank you just the same. What makes me desperate, I'll need another 24 hourd to download it again , due to a my awful bandwidth
