Hope so, but first they should rework night colors. Night it´s kinda horrible now.

I noticed the Beaufighter is night colours, but theres no option to fly it.. It would be interesting to fly and see the observer changing the cannon drums behind you frantically

sure, because the Beaufighter of 1940 was only in service as a nightfighter...

The Blenie is not flyable but I guess it will eventually be made flyable. The Bf110 is already available.

Just equip them with a night fighter skin and bingo, there it is.

You can also use the Hurricane which served as a night fighter (I also think the Defiant too but this is again a non flyable plane)

The only problem that I currently see is that (and I have tried it) it is really pitch black when at night. Even with the moon out (while the full moon does give some light allowing to distinguish things at least on the grey scale) it is pitch dark. You do not see a damn thing.

To my knowledge board mounted radar was not existing yet (or does anybody have information about that it was already implemented).

Ground based radar was to my knowledge not that precise to guide a fighter to enemy bombers. As far as I remember some reading the visual encounter during night was really by chance during the early stages of the war and not very effective. Perhaps over a town or an airfield with working flash lights it could work to have some night fighter missions.

I was gonna start this thread a few weeks ago

I wanna do night ops. They should be able to make the Beaufighter flyable, as theres is already one in IL 2

wouldn't operating radar be a hoot:

Agreed,The Beaufighter would be a realy nice addition to the flyable aircraft and with the British Airborne Intercept radar set that came into use that was fitted at that time it would open up the game to different types of missions .
Unfortunately the earliest reference I can find to Radar being fitted to the BF110 is with the G model of 1942 which was an effective weapon against the RAF night raids on Germany , many LW Pilots become Aces flying the 110.
Perhaps someone has more information on this.
