Default simple mod doesn`t work /// need Your help!

Hi there,

I`d like to create a "mod" where the blood-splashes that spray to the ground if someone is hit stays on the ground.
Usually this blood splashes disappear within 10 seconds.
I used the fx editor - i changed the duration of the timer in the "blood.def" and the "blood_small.def" from 10 to an higher value.
In the editor it worked perfect.

I exported the mod and copied the files (checked the files - everythings ok) to my mods folder.
Fired it up activated the mod but the blood still disappeared.
I had the same problem with another mod which should increase the amount of corpse that are displayed in the map.
I copied a downloaded mod and modified it according to my wishes - the problem: the original mod worked, but the copied didn`t.
I only changed the amount and timings.
I`ve no explanation for this.

Perhaps You can help me!

I use the actual version of MoW (update_setup1.17.5.1-en-fr-is-sp-1c-full.exe) with Windows 7 Professional

Thanks for Your efforts!

Bye
Joseph

So, the same method would work for smoke and stuff as well? I have always wondered just how to get smoke to represent a burning tank would work but I never took the time to look deeply into it nor really knew where to start.
