Default BF-109E questions

Hello there,
I have a few questions on the 109. It would be really nice if someone made a full checklist for the airplanes in the game, anyway.

1-How should I control the mixture? I know that when starting it should be on rich, but when I fly? Forward or backwards?
2-The manual states about "water flaps", does it mean radiator? (in the dive section).
3-How different are the procedures from E-1 to E-3? I found videos of 3 and 4, but not for the previous versions.
4-When taking off, I set prop pitch to 12:00. Should I change it once in flight? Or is it still automatic like in 1946?

Thank you!

And, sometimes after take off, the E4 automatic propeller pitch may not work corectly and lower your RPMs to 1500.

If that happens, switch briefly to manual prop-pitch, increase the pitch to 11:00 or 11:30 so that the engine revs go back to 2000-2200 and switch to automatic prop-pitch again.

And here is the link to the Aircraft checklists:

Ok, thanks a lot! Now, a few more questions:
  1. I have a hard time keeping water temps low. Manual states not more than 80°C, but during cruise at 3km I mostly have it on 90°C with radiator open, 2,300 RMP and 1,2 ata. Oil temps are fine.
  2. During descent, what setup should I use? Is the dive setup correct?
  3. What is the historical shutoff sequence for the 109 E-3?

1. You get 80° only on very high altitude and only with rads fully open, but not with 1.2 ata and 2300 revs. lower pressure to 0.9 to 1.0 ata and temps will lower. But 90° are actually not a concern, it gets tricky above a 100° .

2. During a dive, i constantly lower the proppitch, trying to keep the revs at 2200-2300 revs, when pp on 8:30, i use throttle to keep the revs there and finally throttle out. is this correct, probably not . Same rules do apply to a descent, depending on what is it you want to achieve.
