Default Bombs Away HL Server

New Hyperlobby server

Bombs Away

The server is dedicated to bombers only for practising high altitude bombing.

There are some maps with IL2's Stukas Bf110 for ground attack practise also.

Pilots stats are available to keep track of your progress.

Server rules and guides can be found on the stats page link.

Targets are usually Airfields/Factory/Industrial areas, also shipping and ground vehicles.

Industrial areas are "seeded" with fuel trucks to confirm bombing accuracy.

So if you want to have a "safe" bombing practise server free from fighters jump in and get bombing.

Have Fun

Default Great idea

I've got a friend in mind in Denmark who will be coming online soon to practice. Will check this server out as a place for him to train in his favorite bombers.

Default wrong web page URL

You need to correct the web page URL on the "JOIN THIS GAME" window at HL M8. It should read www.ikg26.com. Otherwise, users will end up on an unrelated site selling agriculture specific software.

@ Old Canuck

Done

@ Biggs

Level Stabilizer need to be set in your key board settings under "controls" to level out your bomber online.

There's plenty of tutorials around for the different types of bombers too. M4T has some. http://mission4today.com

Hi All

Just a heads up / advice for bombing.

Recommended level bombing Altitude 3000m-4000m or 12000ft-15000ft

I noticed that The SC 1000/2000kg loadouts are popular with you

The maps are designed for accuracy practice so you only need SC50's to hit the targets.
This will give you a better idea where your bombs are hitting and penetrate the factories better than SC 1000/2000kg demolition bombs.

There's been some accurate bombing from those that have used the server so far keep at it and have fun practising.

Glad you are doing it Alpha. Seeing this post reminded me of all the missions we have flown together since CFS1 days and all the way thru IL2. I'll never forget the time several years ago that our squads were doing an online bombing run together when we had an earthquake that was a good sized one. I yelled into comm's "earthquake", hit the level stab, and left the house. It was a 6.7 on the richter scale I think. When I came back in, everyone had a good laugh.

We will definitley be visiting your server!

Alpha,

Bombs away is an excellent server. It is great to fly in. Wish I could be spending more time practicing bombing runs in it. Thanks for putting it together.
