I just got a new joystick a few days ago, the cyborg fly 5. I really like it. But I have one issue. When I plug my joystick in I can use it to control the plane and all my buttons on the joystick work. But when I press any button on the keyboard it does nothing. Only the escape key and view keys work. When I unplug my joystick and fly with the arrow keys everything on the keyboard works just fine.
Any Idea why I cant use my aircraft controls on my keyboard when my joystick is plugged in? Joystick: Cyborg fly 5 Win 7 thanks |

Not exactly. My ailerons, rudder and elevator axes work but the other axes like the throttle do not. The stick has dual throttles. I have one set up for elevator trim and one for the throttle. The throttle doesnt work but the elevator trim does. Its very odd. I launched the saitek software and everything is configured properly and working just fine on the joysticks end.

If both the throttle axis are showing as working in the Control Panel then it sounds like one hasn't been assigned to the Axis throttle in the 'Axis set up Menu'.
What happens when you try and assign it as the throttle axis, (do you get a message that that axis is used for elevator trim or does it show the same axis description e.g, RX, RY etc)? In which case it sounds like CloD doesn't recognise the throttle has having two independent axis. As for keystrokes not working with Stick plugged in. Check that you have the keystrokes assigned in the keystrokes set up and save/name it - then press 'apply'. If keystrokes still fails to work then its probably a conflict or problem with Saiteks Magic Kyboard driver, you can test keystrokes and button assignments in the SST software using the 'test function'. As a last resort, try Saitek technical help, they will tell you how to delete/disble all the Saitek drivers and Magic Bus stuff then do a re-install or use something like Xpadder to programme the stick. They may even suggest you return it - in which case get a refund and get an X52 or X45.
