Default Magnifying Mirrors

Did anybody realise that the mirrors magnify enormously the reflected image? Just recently I got frightened when my squadron mate appeared in the mirror as actually about colliding with me. Alas, he was about 60m away.

Should be fixed on day imho.

Do you want to see your squadron mate flying 60m behind you or do you want to see the bandit when he is closing in at you at 500m?

Actually I would like to have an approximately normal view as any maginfying view just limits the FOV ....

well, the glass could be magnified.... cras have magnified glasses, and the only plane i flew had magnified glass too ( preatty useless one, since it was a spitfire style glass and it was forced out of position when flying.

I think ideally, the mirror should provide more of a fish eye view.

Or maybe it should provide the same FOV as the real 1940 Spit/109/Hurri mirror has.

Does work anyway atm.

Is there a way to disable it permanently? Or do you have to do it every time you respawn

Is it just me or does the surround on that mirror look like a computer render from a sim?

Cheers!

And look at the clouds. Some fps eaters there I guess ...

Supposing this is NOT a virtual mirror I draw two conclusions:

1. no magnifying here. Does not make sense imho anyhow to have magnifying mirrors.
2. The mirror is tilted slightly downward so that the pilot can see his tail. Does make sense as you would like to see also as far as possible what is on your six below.
