Default Have your gunners ever killed someone?

Ive never had one of my defensive gunners shoot anyone down.. can It actually happen?

To me they seem too friendly to the enemies to do any good damange!

not mine when i go for a run in a 110, but then again its pretty rare that gunners get me when i am attacking bombers either, i think it is pretty much as it should be, excepy when i sneak up on a hurri only to find that it is a defiant!!!
learnt that the hard way today online

In SP missions gunner efficacy depends on how the airplane is set in mission:

Rookie
Average
Veteram
Ace

Try this mission, with gunners in ACE:

But I, as a Fighter pilot, would surely aim on that smiling guy in the OP! No, j/k. ^-^

Default gunners are slow

I find the movement range of the gunners terrible. My mouse axis' need to be reversed and i cant seem to set it.
This game is always one step away from being great.

Agreed, the aiming is hideous, clunky and clumsy...

Surely this is much more like RL, where the bomber gunners were pretty ineffective. It's much better AI gunner behaviour than those snipers in IL2 1946.

For AI actual gunners is OK. Offline sometimes you meet a ACE gunner between ROOKIES and is PK.

The problem is when you manage turrets, seems to weight tons ad slide over a non bearing/greased trails.
