Default Bombing Hawkinge Small Story (From Sunday's Mission, Cool Pics)

Just thought I would share one of the mission from yesterday, I seem to have forgot most of the details after I came under heavy AA fire .

AIRCRAFT: 3 x BF109E3/B

TARGET: Hawkinge

PILOTS: JG52Krupi, SYN_Biss, and Stealthy.

This occurred on one of the last missions of the night and things did not turn out so well... for me at least in the excitment I forgot what happened to my wingmen (whoops).

So here is the first pic just taken off from near Callis with all three 109s climbing.

From here we climbed to ~3000m and then made a beeline for Hawkinge. It was a rather uneventful journey and it wasn't soon before we were diving and release our bombs on the spits below us.

It was just after the dive bombing that I started to run into problems, having lost my lead (Bliss) and hearing that my wingman had to bail (Stealthy) I decided to find where the fight was to, I entered a starboard turn unfortunately this took me over the ships near folkstone BIG MISTAKE... I became the target of a silly amount of AA.

Sure enough the gunners had found there target and I lost my elevator straight away... unfortunately it was disabled during a climb and therefore was locked in the ascending position, I desperately clawed at the trim to get the aircraft back under control it was then that I saw the fire spreading across my right wing.

Still locked in a climb I started to panic, I needed to dive to get the fire out before it spread any further.

I resumed my desperate struggle with the stabilizer trim wheel until it would go no further... I was still locked in the damn climb!!!

Taking another glance out of the wing I could see that the fire was slowly inching its way forwards and across the wing

Well if I couldn't control my aircraft into a dive then I would have to find another way, I rolled on to my back and sure enough I started a uncontrolled plummet towards the ground. The flames started to die down and at last died out with the ground looming towards me I rolled back and once again the aircraft started to climb.

There was only one thing for it I would have to swung from left to right all the way back home it was the only way to keep a level flight. However fate had other plans... tracer fire started passing my canopy!

Sure enough with a glance back my eyes were greeted with belching black smoke pouring from my stricken aircraft and the sight of a spit sent shivers down my spine... There was nothing I could do but continue my tights swings, if I stopped I would pull up and probably stall right in his gunsight or take a dive into the waves.

Awesome stuff the last picture I believe shows me before a fist full of 303 hit my face OUCH. Love the spread of fire in this game.

Thanks, I really hope it is they have put so much detail into the game it's just needs to be wrapped in a better package, something I'm sure they will work on.

Cheers glad you liked it, I'm hoping that next time we can get a large group of 109's to skip bomb the ships ahead of a group of 110 and 88 on there way to pound hawkinge. Hopefully next Sunday there will be similar numbers on.

Nice piccies Krupi, no wonder I never found you I was looking for Ju88s

If anyone would like to get organised and pitch Reds against Blues I suggest you use these threads and put your hand up:-
RAF: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=25187
LW: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=25193

The thread was started for last Sunday but add your post for next Sunday.

Last night Blues were practicing hard their bomber formation attacks on shipping, Hawkinge etc.

We need Reds to oppose them. Unfortunately I'll be away next weekend but I'll be on the Syndicate server and Ventrilo on Wednesday around 7:30 to 8 pm UK time if anyone is interested in getting this underway. We need to get some numbers together and talk tactics.

Hoping we can get this sort of thing going in reasonably large numbers so if you fancy this kind of scenario, jump in!
