Default Mixture Controls Stop Working

I have my mixture adjustment mapped to the left and right arrow keys. Yesterday, I was trying complex engine management for the first time now that I have most of the other controls ironed out. Things were fine in the Spit, but in the Hurricane, the I lost control of the mixture at some point. The keys just stopped working right. The left arrow (increase) stopped responding completely and the right arrow worked intermittantly and eventually stopped responding too.

Also, when the keys were responding, I could not get the mixture above 100 like I could in IL2 Classic.

Are these bugs or am I misunderstanding something?

you have antropomorh handling (limiting to a "two hand" operation...) enabled ?
If yes, disable it, and try again.

AND, mixture is working counterwise in the british planes than in the rest of the ones......

I'm getting weird issues on the Hurri (antropomorh control disabled).

Sometimes, it won't let me raise mixture above the current throttle slider. IE: If throttle is set at 40%, then max available mixture is 40%..

Also, if mixture is at maximum lean (0%), then you need to press 'decrease mixture key', which makes the slider shoot all the way to the top, rather than 'increase mixture' key, which does nothing initially.

Spitfrire's fine (2 pos mixture). Just the hurri!

To repeat, in the Spits, Hurries & Blenheim, you realy have to watch the lever IN the cockpit. If it is full back, you have full rich mixture!
However you achive that with your controler/key commmand!

I'm not checking the lever in cockpit - just using the console levers.

Will check what you mean in game, but the levers still seem to be bugged - not being able to move the slider past the current throttle position seems like a bug to me. Could be my setup so I shall go and check

I have the same issue in the Hurricane, to be honest I am no expert on such maters and suspected it was a true modelling of the controls, something to prevent over-rich mixture.

Watch the 3D cockpit, you will see why you cant lean the mixture to full lean when the throttle is not full forward
To repeat, full lean mixture you havewhen the mixture lever ( in the cockpit) is full forward...

Ah, okay. Just tried it and working as you described - thanks

When the mixture lever is towards the pilot, it's full rich - away is weak/lean

The throttle lever catches the mixture lever as it is closed and moves it to full rich

What doesn't happen though is that if you have a lever display console up, it doesn't move the slider to full rich as throttle is decreased. When you move the throttle back to full and then lean the mixture, the mix lever will jump to where it was previously.

Difficult to describe, but definitely happening.
