Default Hmm.. Hello USA!

A warm welcome for the new USA buyers from Luthier, but not at least two words for us, the europeans who already bought the game, regarding the state of the game/patch.. I guess we don't diserve it..

This starts to smell as UBI business behavior, which couldn't care less of the ones already fool enough to have bought one of their products..

I really, really hope MG won't go down that way..

Well, tell me how you could write a welcome statement to one group and apologise to another group at the same time? Read between the lines and you'll see that, IMHO, Luthier is trying to appease everyone.

Simple: by making a section regarding the true current state of the game, and on which stade they are with working on the patch. or by making another post specially for that. 15 extra mins at most, don't tell me it would have been the end of the world.

but by making this post only, he clearly ignores everything posted on this board in the last 3 weeks..

they'd better not forget they'll need us for this next il2cod addon, or remember us only then.. because if that's the case, they can say bye-bye to my money, and I can put my head down there will be a lot of me-alike customers by then..

Everyone sees only what he choses to see. This is how perception works in our brains.

Here are some things to keep in mind about our game:

1. We the developers are a part of 1C-Softclub, Russia’s largest software developer and publisher. We are backed by a dedicated production team, and most importantly, our top management has complete faith in the team and in the product line. That means that the team is growing, we are hiring, and we’re not going anywhere.

2. If you’ve played our previous games, you know that we always support our products way past the release. We work on patches and add-ons, add new content, add new features, and we never abandon our projects.

3. The game you are playing today has always been envisioned as the first in the series. We are already working on a sequel as we continue to support and improve Cliffs of Dover.

4. We do not at this time have anyone doing community relations, which means we spend less time than we’d like to interacting with you, or rather, providing answers to your questions. We are up on these boards every day reading what you have to say, and it does often drive our design decisions and priorities.

5. You can meet more members of the team in my earlier post here, which also contains a sort of a rough roadmap of what we’re currently working on:

So, thanks for purchasing the game, thanks for your support, and please rest assured we will continue to support and expand Cliffs of Dover and the Il-2 Sturmovik series!
So although he doesn't address specific issues in the post, it certainly sounds like they are working on a patch (and we know from the thread he links that they are working on sound issues).

he would have said the same, even if the MG would have already signed for bancrupcy, considering they've just released the US version.

What do you think it would have happened if they would have said "well, we won't get up any other patch, but the good thing is that you can buy our next adoon in half a year"?!!

words are nothing, if they are not followed by deeds.. and I've started see to less and less words, and no deeds at all.. which is kinda of worrying..

I've bought Il2CoD knowing fully the state of the game, but based on MG's history of patches and communication.. for me, they patching this game, and communicating with me is a moral part of this contract I've agreed when I've bought Il2CoD

which now seems like they are losing it.. so, i have all the motives in this world to be worried about!

Maybe you don't understand, bt what is exactly happening right now is MG alienating and losing the trust and respect of their base community. Is the worst thing which can happen to a small developer fo a niche market, and I'm afraid they won't survive without it.
there you go, I have some quotes too, answer them, pelase!

Are there any questions hidden?

I see only the ranting of a patienceless person which thinks it bought something beside the right to use this software.
Be assured, thats the only thing you've bought, no right of information, no "moral obligations", nothing else, beside the obligation to fix bugs and errors, and that is already happening.
