I mean in-cockpit, so if you look down you can see your legs, and hands

DCS: Black Shark - you can turn the pilot model on/off
not sure if it is the same in A10c I haven't tried. |

Yeah, there is definitely a modelled pilot in Black Shark. It's not really anything to write home about though.

I'm glad we don't have one.
A "pilot" would obscure too many controls in the cockpit because of our 2D view. Also it would take valuable computer power that is best spent on other things.

For me it would not add anything to my immersion in the game. What benifits would it have except for film making?
Just like pilots in the other sims that have been mentioned, it would be canned, scripted, look very tacky and unrealistic in actual game play. Would you expect the uniform of the pilot to be changed based upon the pilot dress set up with all it's various dress options? |

Yes, Carenado addons models for FS2004 or FSX for example. Pilot or crew are dynamic and you see the mouvement of the head as example.
