That was pretty nice actually, it might be good to have in the game, visual awareness through TrackIR and aural awareness with this and a regular headset.

The last thing we need is sound radar. It's not realistic, you shouldn't be able to hear other planes over your own engine.

I absolutely hated this in IL2. So many so called online 'aces' relied on the sound of approaching planes to alert them. This limited the success rate of B&Z pilots as you couldn't perform a proper bounce without the T&B pilot doing a hard turn towards you as he could hear you coming.

I would be embarrassed to post that video if that was me in it. Horrible and questionably heterosexual to boot. He should be ashamed. Someone take that persons mancard from him.

Fact is you wont hear my plane over yours. It's a fact. Not conjecture. A proven fact old as time itself.

I'm not sure anyone asked to hear other aircraft from inside the cockpit.
Personally I think it would be great to have this so that you can here from where in your plane a certain sound comes. It would be certainly valuable when being shot at and when there is something broken.

Concur, sound radar is a farce! With a loud inline or radial in front, headset and helmet and loud radio static plus airstream noise across the airframe you cannot hear a fast aircraft getting on your six.

Yes you will be able to sense something if you wing up to another aircraft especially something large and multiengined, buffet, vibration some noise.
