Default My game seems to be running better..

I wonder if we are secretly being patched via Steam..?

I am serious.
At first I could only last two or three mins after the latest patch, now things are almost flawless for as long as the mission lasts..

Also Trackir seems less jumpy..

Thanks Easter Bunny!!

I thought that as well. Do you have an nVidia card? I found it wasn't the game that had updated but the latest video driver had automatically downloaded and installed.

Even duct tape can't fix stupid... but it can muffle the sound.

Just looked at my driver properties and it updated June 20 - version 8.17.12.7533. There was a marked improvement in landscape detail and colour particularly the trees. AA seemed a lot better but still no transparency and tree and cloud shadows, which were ok anyway, had almost completely lost any flickering. No great improvement in fps though.

As someone suggested in his post (in performance threads) I tried with lowering textures to med and adjusting almost all other settings to high and Voila!, I got massive improvement in performance. Now is playable. But the cost is high. Noticable uglier textures. So, they gonna need to optimize better the textures or we will need to wait 1-2 years for better hardware.
Btw I have i7920@3.5Ghz, GTX470 Twin frozr2 OC to 750Mhz on core and 6GB of DDR.
