The PR19 is not, whatever you say, a real Spit. The engine sounds wrong! You need a Merlin

My sound of the day is simply this: 4x Olympus engiens + Blue Note.

Saw the Lancaster fly over a few days ago, a spitfire and a bf108 the day after. And now i'm listening to a beautiful sound of a different kind of bird, A nightingale outside my window.

Carlisle's used as a re-fuel and overnight stop off. The one above flew in about 1.30, flew out at 3 and was back in for 4 (after his impromptu display) and then left about 10am yesterday morning.
After speaking to Ian Smith I've found out that the BBMF isn't going to Duxford this year however the Lancaster is due to make a landing there(although he did say the runways a bit short for it).
Was surprised to find the below at the museum- it's come up from the bond museum after that closed. It's going to be cosmetically restored.
