Steam hardware survey

since we use steam for this game it is interesting see the breakdown in % of what all the steam players are running

I'm not a big fan of Steam. In fact I hate them really because of a lot of reasons. But now I'm really shocked. I understand they can read out hardware configurations. But they have no business reading out all the non-Steam apps I've installed (like Office, WinRAR, Photoshop, etc)!!! It makes me more angry than I already was about Steam!

If clod ever gets support for HyperLobby and Steam is not needed for online play it is getting kicked to the curb.

It's on an "opt-in" basis rather than "opt-out. No information is sent until you click through the survey window to submit the information. If you do not want to participate, you simply click cancel and no information is sent.

So if you don't want to participate they don't know what hardware or software you are running.
