This might be a steam related thing? I remember when I bought 1946 (for the 2nd time) that some of the folders were missing and needed to be added by me. Maybe if they're empty when steam installs the game, it just gets rid of them? That's probably not the reason, but whatever it was, I added the folder back in and it was fine.

For example: Mission briefings and such wouldn't display for players joining my games until they added the netcache folder in again (which was missing).

So maybe there's a noseart folder that's missing? *shrug*

Well, I hope this sim will accept a better format than that stupid 256 colors bitmap which is actually a very basic format and much more dificult to edit then let's say jpeg or whatever.

The folder for the noseart is in the ;
C:\Users\NAME\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\noseart

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\Noseart

But there is the problem of the size and quality.

Is the bitmap nose art file for CoD the same size and format as it is in the IL-2 Forgotten Battles? If it is, no problem creating a good quality index color bitmap file within PhotoShop for the game.
