Default XBOX 360/PS3 joint bomber strike?

Since the game isnt cross platform it means us 360 players and you PS3 players will never have the novelty of flying together.

Since you PS3 guys do some games together (which look great!!) involving a specific target etc while other try to engage you...

It got me thinking...

Would it be possible, could it be possible to have a joint raid between us?

Both be part of the same bomber group, yet at a mutually decided time take off from 2 different airfield on a specific map to attack 2 different targets. Much like an old bombing mission from WW2.

EG -

Both take off from at the same time... one from Lympe and one from Hawkinge (dont have to be bombers). Fly to the coast of France and turn around.

One group attack a target..... cantebury cathederal for example..

the other group attack the docks at Dover.

Once the targets have been destroyed, you turn back and head for the French coast again, before turning back around and then heading to your original airfield.

Naturally their would be enemies, they wouldnt know your target, but would have to be on the look out for you.

Once done and the games over, post in a specially created thread in here and see how results went.

Im not suggesting we do this, its merely a case of "could it be done"?

Could it be done?

In a simple answer: Yes.

You have some dedicated fliers your side and we have some dedicated fliers our side. All we really need is a host to round us all up on the night and a plan to stick to.

If I was a millionaire I would buy you guys a ticket to a mutually agreed place - a place where we would be able to spend a couple hours socialising (and realising that I'm only 17 - I'm surprised at how many think I'm older because of the way I fly) and then, obviously, I'd LAN together some PS3's and get high tech sticks (does FFB work?) so we can have a full 8v8 battles with no lag. Alas I'm dreaming out load and going off topic...

I think this would be cool. I do remember a conflict style thing that was run by Mac and Edal. Maybe we could string together a simpler version of that, a cross console version. All we'd need is somebody to run each console, who can fly and captain each team (4 - one for each console).

I'd be happy to help out and run certain bits.

Im pretty sure we (360) have the players. Only a small minority post on this forum, where as many more actually play online.

We always have a good host and our rooms can be made private so our guys can sort it out...

Its just doing it.

I personally think it can be done!!

Or both attack the same target? but one set represent the USAF and attack it by day, and the other represent the RAF and bomb by night. Though by night would be harder.

It would be good to see if it could work. Input from everyone would be great.

Cheers P-51

I'm in! Sounds a pretty cool idea.
I'm sure we could manage to get a fair few involved. Devise a plan here that both platforms could then divide into missions.
Or a joint forum airshow where everyone flys something different or even formation.
Or how about some cross platform racing!!! Manston to limpgne along the coast...let's see who's got the fastest planes!!!
There's plenty we could do.

And Scotty, that G2 does look nice in that camo why fill it with holes!

Hi, I'm new to this game and these forums, but I'd be up for something like this too. I've played online a few times now, and confirmed that I'm a terrible shot. I was hoping for some cooperative play online, and FOZ's idea of a simultaneous bombing run sounds good. I'm on the xbox, and I'd been wandering what time of day most people play, so I could be involved in a well-populated game.

Good to see the PS3 crowd thinks it can be done!! Im currently trying to sort it out with some 360 players to see what we can arrange. The only problem being posting on this forum how it went.

Only a couple of 360 players really post here
