Default Operation Husky & the Korsun Pocket

Hey guys,

As my group and I are nearing the final stretch in my Battle of Stalingrad series, I have already begun looking for info for the next set of historicals, the Invasion of Sicily and the Korsun Pocket. However, as happened initially with Stalingrad, I am having a hard time finding any specific information online dealing with the aerial conflicts. So once again, I come to the forums to ask if any of you know any websites or books that layout historical information dealing specifically with the aerial conflicts of Operation Husky (Invasion of Sicily) and the Korsun Pocket. Thanks in advance!

Default Messerschmitts over siscly

Take a look for Johannes Steinhoff's book. I read it a year back and should give you a bit of incite on axis fighter operations in the area.

Thanks to both of you for the replies!

@ grislawskijg52
Do you happen to remember the name of the book?

@ winny
I've checked the links you listed and none of them give specific information, just general. I'm looking for "specifics" on the aerial conflicts. For instance, the book I found for my Stalingrad series, broke down almost each day of the Battle of Stalingrad and gave VERY detailed information about both sides missions for both ground and air forces. It gave specific information on the planes used on each day of the battle, their targets, casualties and in some cases even gave accounts of the weather the armies faced. That's the kind of information I'm looking for as I try to make my missions as historically accurate as possible.

That's the problem I've run into for Stalingrad and now Husky and the Korsun. I can easily find plenty of general info, but finding more detailed information requires a considerable amount of effort. That kind of surprises me living in the information ages as we do, but oh well, lol! Thanks anyway though winny!
