Hello,
With COD, I am looking for a trick to get a progressive zoom like in this video : To do this with IL2 1946, i use joytokey and my joystick hat to increase or decrease my FOV. This allow me to go progressively through the twelve available FOV from 35° to 90° (see previous video). Anyone know how to do this with COD ? ![]() |

I'd really like to see a trick for this.
They had to mess this up too. ![]() ![]()

keygetis' mod allows to assign different FOV settings to 3 default keys. Its readme tells that it may stop clickable cockpit working.
From this I make a conclusion that zoom is not available in stock game version because it is not possible or too time consuming to make cockpit clickable for every zoom level as the distance between cockpit levers and buttons would be different in every zoom level. Maybe in future we have an option to switch zoom on with clickable cockpit off. |

I am surprised that we don't have smooth zoom/FOV change like we did in IL-2: 1946. When flying with HOTAS it is kind of awkward (and not very HOTAS-like) to grab the mouse to zoom in and out.

Also I managed to bind "mouse button 5 + mouse Y axis" to the left POV on my Saitek x52 using Xpadder (the Saitek software wont let me bind a mouse button and mouse movement to one button ![]() ![]() I wish I didn't have to run xpadder to make it work, but at least I got my smooth zoom back (and it works with TiR). ![]() |

Currently if you hold mouse button 5 you can smoothly zoom in and out adjusting your field of view, I think it is under the Camera settings.

I do not know if it may be useful but I think I read somewhere that HIDMacro latest version can combine mouse inputs in the keystroke combinations (for those with no Saitek SW).
