The game has improved a lot since the release version so ....

They reviews the original release. Since magazines work 8 weeks ahead on pagination dates. I can understand the review is off the web but PC Gamer works in-line with their magazine copy dates so their review matches their print.

Personally I don't think it needs a re-review as they review on release and on release it was appalling. You could say that about any game that needs patching!

Personally I think more fool 1C for releasing a half baked product. Rather than pat them on the back and give them a better review now a load of patches have been released they should be judged on the initial 'to market' release. Hopefully one day these developers will see that releasing poor products is not the method.

You reap what you sow and hopefully this is a lesson for 1C.

Treat CloD as an interactive museum, a tool for setting up small photogenic skirmishes, and it’s marvellous. As a game, it’s much less successful.
Spot on.

Default Custom PC review

Custom PC review (July(!) edition, just out) gave it a damning 35%, again reviewed using the UK release version before any patches. Whilst probably what it deserved in that state, it's sad to see this in print and anybody flicking thru the mag will give it an instant 'miss'

why is it everyone is still blaming 1C for that? It was ubisoft that caused that to happen. wanna blame someone, blame ubi.

The good thing is it's pretty obvious it's being worked on and constantly improved. I know I'm enjoying it, and I think it's going to turn into the ultimate WWII sim. It's very promising already
