Game goes desktop after mission completed

I have an issue that prevents form moving forward in the British campaign. When transfering form the fat cats to 602 sqn at Manston. when i arrive at manston I get the mission completed sign. Then i press the esc key and instead of going to another screen in the game it minimises the game. Maximise the game and hit esc again and it minimises. any suggestions?
