Default Noticed the golf course? Amazing! Place Names?

I was limping back to an airfield after (embarrassingly) getting "tagged" by a Ju 87, when I noticed that I was flying over a golf course, with teeing areas, greens and bunkers - fantastic and a great touch!!
Unfortunately I couldn't identify the golf course - which brings me to a question:

Is there a way of "turning on" place names on the map ie the names of towns & airfields? It would be nice to know where one is at the time.

I actually landed the Hurricane on the golf course in on the first day of release. I taxied up to the pin and thought to myself "That would make a great screenshot!".

So I hit printscreen and the game crashed.

Ahh, the good old days!
