Default 360° panning: how?

Hi guys,
I'm new to COD so please forgive my newbie's questions

Now, I've assigned my MS FFB2 joystick to the pan functions but I'd like to pan around the aircraft without having to press few times on the hat switch to make a 360° circle.
Do you know what I mean, like in FSX i.e.
Instead of a complete circle the view changes 45° every time I press the hat and that's annoying if one wants a real immersive experience.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

You can let the joystick 'POV hat' working like a mouse. With this program:

With the mouse, you can look 360 degrees around and up and down!

Doesn't work for me with either a real mouse or the emulated one, smooth panning allows me only about 100 deg not the full range.

I have described the problem in this thread: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=21597

How do you deal with mouse icon when you set up joytokey?

I have set up axes from mouse to pov, also added mouse wheel up button to fuction, but always is god damned mouse icon all over cockpit.

To tell you the truth, I used this program with Il-2 (v1.0!!), before I got trackIR. But that is many years ago. I don't know anymore how it works, but I do remember it was pretty easy to set it up.

Well, Joytokey doesn't answer to my needs.
Maybe didn't I explain myself well enough.

Because I'm using both the joystick and the mouse with my right hand I can't pan with the mouse.
So, using the POV hat I can pan all around the aircraft BUT I must press the hat few times (front, 45 right, right.. and so on) to make a full circle.
My wish is to use the POV hat maintaining the thumb on the button without having to press it several times.

Is that possible?
Would it be the same with another joystick or is it the way things are coded in CoD ?

THanks

Thanks kotka5, maping the Snap view is half the solution and it's better than nothing.
F9 doesn't have any effect for me, lol!

(F9), this switches the view between the SNAP (auto centering) or PAN view.

It is fully working only inside cabin view.

Default F9=toggle snap/pan view
