Default TrackIR5 profiles

Hey guys,

Just got a TrackIR 5 but Im sturggling with its sensitivity.

Do you guys have good, precise profiles for it? Or maybe a couple of screenshots of it?

Thanks in advance.

hey CaptRIO
I own an older TIR3 but I've been using the latest software with good results...for setting up a profile I simply chose the deadzone template for each axis and went from there...the Z axis [forward and backward motion] was the most sensitive and I've tuned it to be as minimal as possible...pretty easy all in all.

not sure but you may or may not know that the "head shake" realism feature is bugged and causes the inside cam view to be waaaay over sensitive...and it also screws up TIR if enabled....at least it did for me.

and if you do find "tearing" of the screen image to be a problem I've found that D3DOverider that comes with Riva Tuner a good way to enable v-sync and triple buffering...but of course you need good FPS in order to maintain a decent average.

I use default curves with TiR5 but I had to turn the speed down and the smoothing up when compared to other games.

The default profiles seems to work ok.

I had issues with looking up, caused by wearing glasses.

Just check on the camera screen that you are not getting any interference from other light sources or reflections.

You can then tune the sensitivity of the ir thingy.

Set display to camera in the main screen and click the camera tab on the left in the console.
You can then adjust the sensitivity, basically move the sliders to remove all 'red' signals on the main display (interference)

I'm in the same boat. TrackIR seems to suck though I haven't got into it's guts much yet. I can't really look down so trying to see the compass or operate the 2 pitch prop lever is impossible, it either doesn't make it or flips backwards to look at the bucket seat.

I'd also like to know if the sensitivity is global or per track, because it seems global, and that's a real pain.

If anybody has a decent functioning profile could they please post and also specify the sensitivity.

I am using the TIR5 beta - should I upgrade??
