here is the program http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover
before you remove the IL2.Cod-folder with sm you have to make a simple folder named "Steam" on SSD. Works for me.

I was going to do this as well since I just picked up a Corsair S300 128gb SSD and wanted to do a fresh OS install before loading CoD.
In the end I realized there's only about 3 games I play off Steam right now so just put them all on the SSD for now but the SteamMover looks like a very good solution that Steam should implement themselves. |

I haven’t reinstalled steam (or the games) for years, I just copy and paste then complete steam folder to whichever drive I need it on, correct the desktop/start menu shortcuts paths then launch steam which registers the new location of the .exe in the registry.

forgive an ignorant question: buying a new pc equipped with SSD. if I install win7 and steam on the SSD drive, I am not going to face problems when it comes to install COD etc, right??
