Default Crashes all over

Hello.

I cannot play CoD because anytime I try to load a mission with enemy planes in it I get the launcher.exe has stopped working error and crash to desktop. No matter what graphics settings I put on. The only thing I can do (sometimes) is to fly alone over the channel. Sometimes I will also get the system.outofmemory exception.

Please help I loved the original IL-2 and would love to be able to play this

Specs:
i5-750 2.67GHz
4gb DDR3 Ram
nVIDIA GTX 275 with 896MB DDR3
Windows Vista 32-bit

Try setting overlay hotkey in Steam to other keys e.g. <Ctrl>+<Tab>.

Reinstall all runtimes that came with the game (.net, direct x, etc. - check inside steam folder.)

Reinstall video drivers.

tried these but still the same issues. Sometimes now I'll load to 95% and it freezes. Settings are low and grass is off so that's not the issue

I think I have fixed it, no crashes yet...fingers crossed.
I reinstalled Direct X and used AVG Tune up, it found over 5000 reg errors on my system, not sure which solved the problem..but its something else to try for anyone experiencing similar problems.
