Where's the Windsock?

Perhaps I am just not looking in the right spot, but I can't seem to find a working windsock at any aerodrome. It really makes landings especially difficult not knowing which direction to land on that huge expanse of lumpy grass! You dare not hit the brakes or you go a$$ over teakettle.

Or perhaps my concern is unjustified as every aerodrome has perfectly calm conditions and no wind to worry over.

Anyone know the answer?

There are Windsocks, but im not sure if they work, I flew over the airfield and could have sworn I saw two (at the 1/3 mark on the bisecting runways) pointing in different directions

Check out the brit campaign, they seem to be very prominent in that as the airfields are filled with objects.
